Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose CMC in the ceramic industry as a blank excipient, plasticizer, enhancer. Used in the bottom glaze and surface glaze of ceramic tile to make the glaze body in a stable dispersion state. Used for printing glaze is mainly used for its thickening, bonding, dispersion performance.

Main use

Application of 1. CMC in Ceramic Blanks

1, can increase the bond force of the blank, the blank is easy to shape;

2, improve the bending strength of the blank body, effectively reduce the breakage rate of the blank body;

3. Make the water in the blank evaporate evenly to prevent drying and cracking.

Application of 2. CMC in Ceramic Tile Base Glaze and Surface Glaze

1. Make the glaze body in a stable dispersion state;

2, improve the surface tension of the glaze;

3. Slow down the diffusion of water from the glaze to the blank;

4. Increase the smoothness of the glaze;

5. Avoid cracking and printing fracture in the conveying process due to the decrease in the strength of the embryo after glazing;

6. Reduce the glaze pinhole after sintering.

3. application of CMC in printing glaze (or printing oil, ointment) and seepage glaze:

1, high water solubility, high transparency of the solution;

2, non-stick, non-blocking, effectively reduce the number of cleaning filter;

3, the solution is delicate, with good liquidity, improve the efficiency of the network;

4, good printing rheological properties, so that the printing more smooth, clear color unity;

5. It has good compatibility with glaze, which makes the flower glaze stable and has good acid and alkali resistance.
